Over the past year I’ve been learning how to develop with Nano. This has culminated in Nano-GPT, set up together with Huggi, another Nano community member.
Nano-GPT is a very simple idea. AI models are an immense boost to people’s productivity and learning potential. At the same time, subscriptions to state-of-the-art models tend to be expensive, with ChatGPT Plus costing ~$24 a month and requiring credit card access.
Through Nano we allow people to pay a few cents per prompt, meaning the barrier to access cutting-edge models is vastly decreased. Some of these models are even cheaper, costing literally a tenth of a cent to use.
Our logo was generated using our own service. We use the different models daily, in helping with programming for the website, for data analysis, and for a dozen other small things.
We’ve seen others use our service to create creative content to go with articles, to summarise texts, to provide programming help, to recommend books, to come up with funny quips on a dating app, to get basic medical advice, and these are just the ones that we hear about. All of this costs just cents.
The website can be used completely anonymously, and everything done on there is private. Chats and images are stored in the user’s browser only, with nothing stored on our end. Clear your cache and cookies, and the chats are gone.
To further broaden accessibility, Nano-GPT allows people to swap in practically any crypto. This uses another Nano service (Nanswap) in the backend, and deposits straight into the user’s wallet.
The service has been running for a while now and has over 3500 unique users. If you also want to try it out or know someone that this might be useful for, feel free to visit Nano-GPT.com and deposit Nano (or some other crypto)!
If you want to try it out first but don’t have Nano or another crypto, post a reply here with your Nano address (nano_xxxxx) and I’ll put a bit into your account.
Future articles will go back to focusing on crypto and Nano itself; the fundamentals, the incentives, the game theory and the tech behind it all.
Hello, came across your site on HN ycombinator. What is the lowest fee way to get XNO? I do have a paltry sum of BTC but for continuing use what would you recommend? I’m not strong on my crypto game.
If you are still offering a few XNO for trialing things I’d be appreciative:
